Bradford White makes the best Water Heaters on the market they have units that come Natural Gas, Propane, Oil, Electric & even Indirect. The Capacities differ from one type to another but here is a rough breakdown. The Chimney Vent and the Power Vent use Flame Safe technology.
The Programmable Chimney Vent models uses a solid state board to power up the burner, detect water temperture and to give burner status codes. The units require 120 volt power for the electronic ignition. But they also come with a 7 Day Thermostat so you are only heating water during occupied times not 24/7 365 like all other chimney vent models. they are a great alternative for those that wish to be conservative but tankless options just dont work for what you have available.
The Chimney Vent models uses a solid state board to power up the burner, detect water temperture and to give burner status codes no electricity is needed due to the fact it gets it power supply from the pilot burner.
The Power Vent Models use the same type of control but these are actually powered by a 120 volt power supply. mostly because these units have a vent motor but they also use a spark ignition system so there is no standing pilot.
The Oil Fired Models use a Beckett Clean Cut burner and are extremely effiecent.
The Electric Models use 2 Electric Elements one high one low on the tank to heat the water
The Indirect Models use Hot Water from your Boiler system to heat your hot water heater these units depending on the size of your boiler are basicaly never ending hot water.
